UT San Antonio Denial

No go for UT San Antonio. Obviously this was e-mail was just a matter of time because I didn't interview there. The e-mail just made it more official.

The e-mail did provide some cool insights though:

Academic issues are typically obvious to the applicant.  However, efforts to modify other aspects of your application should be based on those activities that have “value” to you, and not activities just to get into medical school.

My experience is that reapplicants are much more successful if they determine what might be shortcomings in their application and then act on them.  At least this way there is a solid discussion point for the essay in the reapplication and especially for discussion during the interview the next year.  Your Health Professions Advisors are also important sources of information.

I actually e-mailed Dr. Jones much earlier in the application cycle. It was good to finally get an e-mail back from him...
