October 20th
No e-mail today. I wasn't feeling it today. I keep having this feeling saying, "September" which I have no idea what it means. I will find out sooner than later.
Tonight we have Tom Fowler staying with us. He's a senior at BYU who has been invited to interview at Texas Tech. He has already been accepted to two other schools (Wisconsin and UT Houston). He has interviewed at another 6 schools and turned down 2 other interviews. It has been so much fun talking with him and learning what he's thought about all the school interviews. It was very fun talking to him about the Stake President's vision of the vines. I could talk up Tech for hours. I don't know why I feel such a love for tech or why it is I want other people to love it so much. People and students just need to give it a shot and they will find what draws so many people to Lubbock Texas. It is a place that is great to raise a family, to find a fairly steady economy and a place to enjoy a few wind storms/dust storms every once in a while. I enjoyed talking to Tom about Lubbock Texas. He is a very positive and lively man. I have no doubt he will do very well tomorrow and that Tech would love to have him as a student here. Boy I sure hope I get in. There are such wonderful candidates that are so much more qualified than I am. If I get in, when I get in…it will be by the Grace of Almighty God. I know that this is true. There would be no other way!
Until next entry…
