No word from Tech.
I am not discouraged. To be discouraged would be unreasonable as I still have months to find out. Rachel's faith keeps me going. Along the lines of finding out if I will get into medical school, I have been very anxious to purchase a home. I check on line and call people often so I see what's out there and know the prices. I don't know why I want a home so bad, but I do. That will be so neat to have a house, a patio, a living room that's ours. What a powerful thing. Property is part of the Abrahamic Covenant. We are to inherit lands and with that comes opportunities to bless people's lives.
We are going to have over Tom Fowler this weekend as he interviews at Texas Tech this Friday . I hope he does well. Talking to him on the phone today I realized that Rachel and I have saved thousands of dollars in plane tickets, application fees, and on the go meals because we moved down to Lubbock. I cannot say I deserve any of the credit because we just got the idea but the Lord told us to make the move. We moved in faith and listening to the number of colleagues that have been flying around the country going to interviews, it surprises me how much we have saved. I do hope I am accepted into Texas Tech. I pray we are, I know we will be.
Something cool that happened today was a lady protected me all the way home while riding my bike on Slide rd. I had stopped at a red light on slide and 50th and the lady next to me said, "hey, you can ride infront of me and I'll protect you." I was honestly flattered (no pun intended). I wasn't sure what she meant until the light turned green, I took off peddling and she changed lanes to right behind me. For over 22 blocks she rode behind me. I was so darn appreciative that I flagged her to come up next to me before I turned off on 73rd (there was a stop light so she would have had to stop anyway. When she pulled up next to me I told her how grateful I was for that. She then replied, "Well, you know how slide is?!" It was cool just to have that connection. I want pass along cards everywhere so I can hand them out like crazy, I would really like to so I will.
Tomorrow is another day. I get to go to a training to learn how to train new Health Unit Coordinators. That should be cool and I look forward to being a good trainer!
