My buddy Austin and I were talking tonight about "The Art of Blogging". He just began a blog about Christian leadership:
http://biblebusinessblog.com/. It's actually quite a nice blog. Austin has put in a lot of work and while doing so has created some great posts. As we discussed blogging, I realized I know very little. In an e-mail he just sent me I learned that I should have a different domain name, that I should make 50 posts in the first month of my blog and that I need to advertise. Blogging has become a discovered science.
I flew to my in-laws while sitting next to a sales rep for Adobe. His current product is trafficking software especially for small to large businesses. I thought, "if Adobe is selling this to businesses for them to track traffic, then that means it is important, and if it is important, then I must do it." I began noticing on my blog that I can check stats, that I can look up who is viewing my blog. It has been very exciting! I realized I have people that visited my blog from India (most likely because of the movie I watched), from Russia (my brother lived there for 2 years), Canada and China. I didn't know I was so internationally loved. Thank you world, for reading my blog. As a reader, frequent, or first time, I most sincerely hope you have received inspiration and encouragement. This is the very reason why I am writing. Because what you read is so important to me, I would also appreciate some quick feedback.
My thoughts and plans have been leaning towards making these blog adjustments spoken of earlier: changing domain name, adding advertisements, blogging more often, and posting my posts to digg.com. Will you still follow my blog if I were to make these changes? Let me know. I love your feedback.
Thank you again for viewing this pre-med, life encouragement blog.
-Michael
