Today I had a very productive talk with an individual on the admissions committee of Texas Tech Medical School. He/she is so kind and helpful...He/she is simply "Awesome". I was following up with him/her on a call that I had made yesterday. I was calling in regards to a Biochemistry Course here in Lubbock and what they recommend. He/she said that the admissions committee frowns on an online course. It would be recommended that it be a live course. He/she then asked me how my residency status is coming along. I told him/her that I had made some calls and was still on track for becoming a resident of Texas. He/she encouraged me to remain on that path. I then asked him/her if I would be notified of acceptance only after I had obtained residency status and if that would affect my application to the MD/MBA program. He/she basically said that I should stay on the path for becoming a resident and that the spots for the MD/MBA program are opening up and also being filled. He/she said that there are some students that have declined in their desire for pursuing the MD/MBA path. I told him/her that that was good news for me, of which he/she agreed.
Overall I am feeling more confident that things are falling into place. Again, the meeting with the Dean will be great next week and I am grateful that I checked into everything before moving down here. What we are doing is the best possible thing and I believe the Lord is behind it all.
Life is good and we/I have a lot of work to do.
